What You Need Before Starting
Folding Instructions (5 Steps)
Follow each step in order. Press your folds firmly against the table using your thumbnail or a ruler for maximum performance.
Fold the High-Density Paper Puck
Fold a strip of paper into a dense 8-layer square, then fold each of the 4 corners inward into an octagonal circular disc. Flatten firmly with a book.
Fold Player 1 & Player 2 Finger Strikers
Fold an index card into a circular base disc, and fold an upright triangular finger handle knob in the center for your index finger to grip.
Set Up Tabletop Rink Boundaries
Use masking tape to mark two 6-inch goalboxes at opposite ends of the table and a center face-off line across the middle.
Fold Standing Paper Goal Net Boxes
Fold two 3D rectangular paper boxes open at the front and tape them down behind each goal line to catch scored pucks.
Face-Off and Play to 7 Points!
Place the puck on the center dot. On "Go!", both players use their striker mallets to block shots and slide the puck into the opponent’s net.
Elastic Collisions, Friction & Rebound Angles
A tightly-folded, flat circular paper puck has very low surface friction against polished tables. When struck by the finger mallet, impulse force accelerates the puck across the ice. When it strikes edge barriers, the angle of reflection equals the angle of incidence, enabling tactical bank shots into the goal.
Smooth, polished surfaces reduce sliding friction, making bank shots lightning fast.
