How to Create Origami Animal Finger Puppets

What You Need Before Starting
Folding Instructions (5 Steps)
Follow each step in order. Press your folds firmly against the table using your thumbnail or a ruler for maximum performance.
Fold Triangle Diagonally
Place a square sheet colored side DOWN. Fold the bottom corner up to meet the top corner, forming a large triangle.
Fold Side Corners Up to Form Ears
Fold the bottom-left corner and bottom-right corner diagonally upward past the top apex to create two pointed animal ears.
Fold Top Point Down into Forehead
Fold the top triangular center point down between the two ears to flatten the top of the animal’s head.
Fold Bottom Flap Up for Snout
Take the top layer of the bottom corner and fold it upward to form the animal’s white snout or muzzle.
Open Finger Sleeve & Draw Face
Draw cute eyes, a nose tip, whiskers, and cheek blush. Open the bottom hollow pocket with your finger and slide it onto your fingertip!
Conical Friction Fit & Ergonomic Sleeve Geometry
The folded paper cylinder tapers slightly from base to crown. When a child slips their finger inside, the gradual taper creates evenly distributed contact pressure (static friction) that keeps the puppet securely on the fingertip without adhesives or tape.
Adjusting the base sleeve width lets puppets comfortably fit any finger size from toddlers to adults.
