Foil-Wrap Thrusters and Exterior Hull
Wrap the rocket in shiny silver foil or spray with child-safe silver paint. Cut red and orange tissue paper streamers dangling from bottom exhaust vents to simulate fiery rocket flames!
Construct Internal Mission Control Cockpit
Inside the rocket, glue egg cartons painted with colored buttons, bottle-cap dials, and battery-operated string fairy lights to create an illuminated space instrument console.
Launch Countdown and Planetary Moon Walks
Climb inside, pull the hatch shut, and initiate the vocal countdown: "10, 9, 8... 1, BLAST OFF!" Emerge with a colander astronaut helmet for zero-gravity moonwalks across the lawn.
